The tower bells at St Mary’s Church Hampstead Norreys were removed in May so that they could be returned to Taylor’s bell foundry for major repairs.
Many of you would have taken the opportunity to see the bells for the first time in 400 years . The repairs have now been completed and the bells are being returned ready for re-hanging in the tower. There will be another unique opportunity to see the bells before they are re-hung on their frame.
Two groups of up to four people will be allowed into the church at a time on our two viewing days. Face masks are mandatory and please do not enter the church until invited to do so by one of our stewards. You do not need to book but we would ask you to keep to social distancing guidelines if waiting in the churchyard. Any queries please e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org
The two sessions are Saturday 24th October from 10am to 12pm and Sunday 25th October from 2pm to 4pm.
There will be a short service to bless the bells before they are re hung at 12.15 pm on Sunday 25th October. Numbers will be restricted due to Covid guidelines so please book your place by e-mailing: email@example.com
